How To Get Blood Out Of Carpet

Get Blood Out Of Carpet Safely.

7 Easy Steps You Can Do. Plus Products You Can Buy To Help You.

  1. Put rubber gloves on if its not your blood.

  2. Spray the blood stain with a sanitizer to disinfect it. You may want to use a mask so not to breath the sanitizer in.

  3. Blot the blood with a paper towel or a rag until the blood no longer transfers to the towel.

  4. Apply blood stain remover to the spot and let it work its magic for a couple of minutes.

  5. You can also use peroxide to remove the blood stain.

  6. Extract out the blood and stain remover with a carpet cleaner machine.

  7. Dry the wet area with a fan.

If the blood is not yours I recommended play it safe and wear rubber gloves. Plus its better to sanitize the blood before you begin to work on it. It can be hazards material which carries disease and virus in it. A mask and safety glasses my be a good choice to wear.

You need a proper chemical to get blood out of carpet. If you need a quick fix I recommend using peroxide. If you decide to use peroxide blot the blood immediately after applying it. Repeat the process until blood no longer transfers to the towel.

Rinse the area with a carpet cleaner machine. Do NOT to soak the carpet to where blood goes into the padding. Do your best to vacuum up every drop of water.

Dry the wet carpet with a floor fan or your ceiling fans. Once the carpet is dry you may need to repeat the process again. Sometimes it may take a couple of times to fully remove the blood.

Here's a list of products in Amazon you can use to get blood out of carpet. Click on the ones you need.

Are looking to buy a carpet cleaner machine? Read this . . .

If you are only going to use a carpet cleaner machine for small areas like stains, traffic lanes, or door entrances. Then I recommend a light weight machine. Light carpet cleaners have small water tanks. You may need to dump and refill frequently. But at least you don't have to lug around a heavy machine.

For bigger areas - full rooms - I recommend a Rug Doctor or Bissell Green Machine. Their water tanks carry more water. You don't have to refill as often. They have more power for rinsing carpet and extracting out dirty water. Plus the Bissell Green Machine has an upholstery tool attachment that you can clean furniture and stairs with. They both are good carpet cleaner machines.

But if you want to do an entire house then you will need a bigger portable carpet cleaner. I recommend a JaniLink- Hot Water Extractor. With this machine you can start a side hustle for some extra cash.

This machine heats up the water for deep steam cleaning. Its has a 500 psi water pump that blows dirt and stains out from carpet. Plus the vacuum is super powerful. It sucks up dirty water like a champ. Professional carpet cleaner use this machine.

 Mold Allergy Symptoms

You might not know mold is even there, so this article will give you some major symptoms that mold is present and that you are having an allergic reaction. Most people are exposed to mold spores. Mold is a fungus that breaks down plant or animal matter, like food, wood, leaves and dirt. It's present in your home and outside of your home. It's even present in the place you work and the place's where you hang out at. Mold can even trigger an asthma attack.
Here are some major symptoms.
Coughing
Wheezing

Irritated eyes, throat and nose
Shortness of breath
Sneezing
Chronic cough
Nasal congestion
Skin rashes and hives
Sinus headaches
Black Mold Symptoms are
Coughing up blood
Difficulty breathing
Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
Nose bleeds
Dizziness
Chest congestion

Mold allergy symptoms vary from person to person, and rang from mild to severe. You may have year round symptoms or seasonal symptoms. Do you live in a damp area or do you live in a heavily wooded area where there is lots of leaves? If you live in those type of area's you are exposed to mold.
One way of testing if you are in a place where mold is present is if you are showing the symptoms above. When you leave the place that you are showing symptoms at, are the irritants going away? When you return to the place do the symptom return? If so there is probably a large amount of mold in the area.

DIY Carpet Cleaning Tips

Three Handy DYI Carpet Cleaning Tips

Carpet cleaning can be such a chore. Did you know that there are a few things that you can do that will keep your carpets clean and also prolong the life of your carpet. Here are three easy tips to help you and your carpets.

Carpet Cleaning Tip 1

Work out a cleaning schedule for your carpets. This may sound a bit excessive, but in the long run it will help. The schedule should include the jobs you do, such as vacuuming and basic cleaning such as a dry absorbent powder clean that you can do yourself. Vacuuming should be done at least once a week, but can be done daily if required, especially if there are people in the house who suffer from allergies. A dry absorbent powder clean can be done weekly or monthly.

Carpet Cleaning Tip 2

Remove any spills or stains as soon as they happen. The quicker they are attended to, the less chance that they will become permanent marks on your carpet. Have a little carpet stain kit ready, containing a spot remover, cleaning cloths and anything else you may need. Make sure that after cleaning up a spill, that all residue is removed otherwise it may actually attract further dirt, increasing your carpet cleaning problems.

Carpet Cleaning Tip 3

Have your carpet professionally cleaned - or - clean it your self. It is recommended that you have your carpet professionally cleaned at least once a year by most carpet manufactures. You can maintain it by cleaning it your self with a carpet cleaner that you buy from Amazon or another store. If you do clean it yourself make sure you use the right soap to water ratio. And be sure not to over wet your carpet. Over wetting your carpet consists of applying water to where it goes down into your padding witch can cause a mold and mildew. Be sure to thoroughly vacuum (extract) out the water from your carpet.

Professional Carpet Cleaning vs Doing It Yourself

Professional Carpet Cleaning vs Doing It Yourself

If your carpet is at the point that vacuuming no longer seems to be producing a proper clean, then it may be time to consider carpet cleaning. You can either do it yourself, by buying a machine or you can hire a professional carpet cleaner. This article discusses the pro and cons of these two options.

If you decide to clean the carpets yourself, you will need to buy the right machine to do the job. Some machines include the chemicals needed, whereas others require you to purchase the chemicals separately. From there you will also need to wait for the machine to be delivered, read the instructions, and set up the machine correctly before you can actually clean anything at all.

A professional carpet cleaner will have a cleaning machine that is generally more effective then the ones you purchase from a department store. They also know how to use their machines effectively, which means the job is done more efficiently.

Another positive for professional carpet cleaner is the fact that they are trained in their field. They know from inspecting your carpet exactly what it is made of, and therefore the correct cleaning method to use. They are also trained in stain removal, so the chances of them being able to remove even the most ingrained stains is much higher.

Other advantages for cleaning carpet yourself, is that your own standards will be met. Sometimes a home owners standards are higher than the people we employ to fix things in our homes. Also, when moving your furniture around you will probably take a bit more care than a service person may.

From a price perspective, the amount you spend either way may actually be similar. The carpet cleaning market is competitive and there are plenty of companies out there competing for your service . By the time you purchase a machine and have it delivered, buy the detergent you may just have spent about the same as you would have if you had hired someone. It is only when there are extras involved that hiring a professional carpet cleaner might cost more than doing it yourself.

Carpet Cleaning Methods Explained

Carpet Cleaning Methods Explained

There are different methods of professional carpet cleaning. The main processes are Steam Cleaning (Hot Water Extraction) and the low moister cleaning - Encapsulation Cleaning, Bonnet Cleaning, and Shampooing.

To choose the right method of cleaning carpet depends on the condition of the carpet, the levels of traffic on the carpet, and if you need the carpet to dry fast.

Steam Cleaning or Hot Water Extraction

Involves vacuuming the carpet, pre spray traffic lanes, spray hot steamy water, and a neutralizer onto the carpet. An extraction unit is then used to suck dirty water, spots, and stains out of the carpet. This is an effective method as it provides a deep cleaning of the carpet. Also heat contributes to killing bacteria, dust mites, and mold.

But you have to do it right. Meaning you have to use the right amount of cleaning solution, water, and extraction.

Its best to use a low ph carpet cleaning solution. Because if you don't neutralize it - soil will stick to it. I personally use a high quality encapsulation cleaning solution. This cleaning solution does not attract soil.

You must set your PSI level correct. If your pressure is to high and spray to much water onto the carpet, you run the risk of penetrating the backing, and soaking the padding. Which it could take days to dry and possibly grow mold. So applying the right amount of water is necessary.

And you must extract everything out thoroughly. By extracting everything out, your carpet will dry fast, and the dirt will be fully removed. Since the dirt is extracted out, your carpet will dry clean, instead of dirty.

Equipment to do Steam Cleaning (Hot Water Extraction) you will need either a truck mount system or a high powered portable.

If you are in the market to buy steam cleaning equipment, give me a call or text, and I will set you up with the proper equipment and chemicals. Call or text (224) 805-6456 and speak to me directly. Randy Lassiter.

Low Moister Cleaning Methods.

Encapsulation Cleaning

First pre-vacuum your carpet, apply encapsulation to the carpet by spraying it or by using the tank that's attached to the buffing machine, and agitate it with a rotary machine using a red or white pad. Or another way of agitating your carpet is by using a CRB Machine that brushes the encap into the carpet and breaks soil free from the fibers.

To extract up the soil you can go back over the carpet using a buffing machine with an absorbent pad. The pad attracts soil and moister to the pad. Your carpet will dry superfast with this method.

Or what I personally do . . .  is go over the carpet with a powerful portable machine or truck mount system and properly rinse the carpet and extract the soil away.

Professionals are moving to encapsulation cleaning. The chemistry forms around the particles and crystallizes it so that it attracts more soil. The encapsulated soil breaks free from the fiber and is easily vacuumed up. Encapsulation also gives your carpet a protective coating. The coating protects against wear, tear, and stains. PLUS your carpet dries quick.

If you are in the market to buy Encapsulation cleaning equipment give me a call or text. And I will set you up with the proper equipment and chemicals. Call or text (224) 805-6456 and speak to me directly. Randy Lassiter.

Bonnet Cleaning

Involves vacuuming the carpet, applying the proper bonnet cleaning solution, and using a buffing machine that spins and absorbs the dirt onto a white bonnet pad. The bonnet cleaning solution cleans and deodorizes without leaving a soil-attracting residue. It will become a crystal upon drying. This dry crystal will be vacuumed away during daily maintenance. This method is good at breaking down oily build up in carpets.

If you are in the market to buy bonnet cleaning equipment, give me a call or text, and I will set you up with the proper equipment and chemicals. Call or text (224) 805-6456 and speak to me directly. Randy Lassiter.

Shampooing

First the carpet is vacuumed and a shampoo is worked into the carpet with a specialized rotary buffing machine.  This method of carpet cleaning dry's fast.

Shampoo has retardants that literally keeps dirt from sticking to carpet fibers. It helps retard soils and cuts down on fiber abrasion and wear, making maintenance cleaning easier for you. Since the soil does not stick to the fiber its easier to vacuum it away.

This helps with your carpet lasting longer and maintaining its appearance.

If you are in the market to buy Shampoo cleaning equipment, give me a call or text, and I will set you up with the proper equipment and chemicals. Call or text 224-805-6456 and speak to me personally. Randy Lassiter.

All of the methods of carpet cleaning discussed here will work. Whether you purchase a cleaning machine to do it yourself or hire a professional. It is important to understand how each method works so that you can choose the best method to suit your needs.

If you are looking to buy professional equipment and chemicals to clean carpet professionally or personally then give me a call or text at (224) 805-6456 and I will personally help you.

How To Clean A Stain On Carpet

Pet Accidents - Grease - Oil - Ink - Red Wine - Coffee - Blood - Rust - Food - Cosmetics - Dirt - and Grime

If you spill food on your carpet I will give you some simple tips and tricks on how to clean it up.

First thing you want to do is pick the spill up from the outer edge to the center. Pick up the spill with your hands or a spoon. Be careful to pick up the spill with a paper towel because you run the risk of smearing it and making it bigger.

Once you remove the solid of the spill then you need to blot the spot with a micro fiber towel. The towel can be a paper towel or a micro fiber towel. Blot the spot by taking the towel and push straight down onto the spill, do not rub, just blot. Hold pressure down onto the spot for a few seconds. Then pick the towel up and see if the stain is transferring to the towel. If the stain is still transferring fold the towel to a clean spot on the towel and blot the stain again. Repeat the process until it stops transferring.

After the stain stops transferring to the towel you want to rinse the spill with clean water. To rinse with water you want to use a spray bottle filled with cool to warm water. With the spray bottle spray the spill but don't saturate the spot, then blot with a clean towel.

Spray the spill with FOLEX Instant carpet spot remover and blot until there is no stain.
